The newly-formed High Five acca will be a regular theme throughout the season here at bettingexpert. The concept? Fairly straightforward – all selections being from the top five European leagues – Italy, Spain, Germany, France and of course, the Premier League. On our whistle-stop tour of Europe’s top five leagues, we’ve sourced a trio of attractive-looking selections. Both Germany and France’s top flights may be in their infancy, but there’s enough to suggest we may have three winners on our hands.

Bayern raced into the 2022/23 Bundesliga campaign in the most rampant fashion. A bewildered-looking Eintracht Frankfurt stood as the unfortunate entity tasked with pumping the brakes on Bayern’s initial foray this season. A rabbit in the headlights springs to mind as Bayern swept aside their opponents 0-5 after 45-minutes.
Robert Lewandowski may be gone, but the Sadio Mané-shaped replacement in the front three won’t do much to blunt the Bavarian attack. One has to fear for Wolfsburg after such a start. The 4-0 head-to-head hiding at the Allianz Arena will do little to calm visiting nerves, that’s for sure.
Frankfurt’s trip to Finland on Wednesday as the Germans take on Real Madrid in the European Super Cup is also worth noting. Although viewed as a glorified pre-season friendly to some, it’s one which Frankfurt will want to give the best account of themselves. Either way, it’s poor preparation for the most challenging fixture in the Bundesliga calendar.
Last season, as Bayern walked to a tenth consecutive top-flight triumph, Nagelsmann’s men scored in both halves at home in 47% of fixtures (8 in 17). Not quite the dominant statistic you may have expected, despite averaging 1.29 first-half goals and 1.53 in the second.
Regardless of the figures from 2021/22, it is difficult to back against this Munich side after Frankfurt’s suffering just a week ago. Bayern to win at a canter and score in either half may be the best way in here, given anything Bayern-related is rightfully too short to consider.
France, Ligue 1, Sunday, August 14th, 19:45 (UK)
Marseille enters the season with one eye on their return to the Champions League after a second-placed finish last term. In an attempt to establish itself as a UCL-level club moving forward, there has been a host of transfer activity. Alexis Sanchez is the latest addition and will be regarded, alongside Guendouzi, Milik, and Ünder, all completing permanent switches.
Stade Brest, comparatively, lost their final three fixtures in 2022/23, and after going 3-0 down to RC Lens in the opener, it continued in a similar fashion last weekend. On the other hand, Marseille coasted to a 1-4 victory at the Stade Velodrome.
In the most recent five meetings between the two, Marseille found the back of the net on multiple occasions in 4/5. Scorelines of 1-4, 3-1, 2-3 and 2-1 paying out over 1.5 Marseille goals-backers in said four fixtures. On their travels last season, Marseille hit two or more goals in 47% of matches, with the 1-4 win at the Stade Francis-Le Ble in Brest included.
With either side’s start to life this season, 1.82 for the superior side to score two or more is a price worth taking. Let’s hope Marseille turn up in the same buoyant, goalscoring vein.

There have been notable outgoings in the transfer market for RC Lens this summer, including Crystal Palace’s £20m man Cheick Doucouré and Jonathon Clauss, who was a stand-out performer in Ligue 1. Despite the evident loss in the dressing room, a £25m outlay on arrivals suggests the RC Lens hierarchy is happy to pump funds back into the squad to build on an impressive season in 2021/22.
If the 3-2 curtain-raising win is anything to go by, RC Lens fans will be hopeful the four points shy of European competition can be bridged come May.
RC Lens finished second to Paris Saint Germain in the ‘scored two or more’ standings when playing away from home in Ligue 1 last season. It’s not exactly a feat to celebrate, but it’s undoubtedly one to consider going into the new season.
Ten of RC Lens’ 19 away matches saw the visitors bag two or more, only one less than PSG’s 11/19.
On home soil, Les Sang et Or pipped their away total with 12/19 matches encouraging multiple goals. In AC Ajaccio, RC Lens faces a newly-promoted outfit that finished second in Ligue 2. An opening day loss to Lyon, who took a 2-0 lead before seeing a man sent off, stands as their first outing into Ligue 1 this season. Though AC Ajaccio pulled one back, they were unable to claim a point, even up against ten men for 70 minutes.
The price for RC Lens to hit two or more goals seems a tad high here. At 2.60, both the bookmakers and AC Ajaccio may be in for more Ligue 1 heartache soon enough.

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
