Saturday night has plenty of action across Europe with teams fighting for the title and others battling it out for a potential spot in Europe next season. Goals seem to be the theme as I’ve chosen my three favourite bets for bettingexpert news.

Liverpool host Tottenham at Anfield on Saturday night as the quadruple is certainly within their sights. Jurgen Klopp’s men are just a single point behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City so will be desperate to claim all three points.

The Reds have won 14 and drawn just three times from their 17 home league matches this campaign scoring 45 and conceding just seven in that time. In those 14 wins Liverpool have scored two or more goals on 12 different occasions and with how impressive they’ve been all season im more than happy to get behind them again this weekend.

Despite Conte’s side being in a battle for 4th spot the gulf in class between these two sides currently is pretty significant. In two of Spurs’ previous three league matches, they failed to register a shot on target which won’t give them leaps of confidence heading to arguably the best team in the world right now.

Liverpool to score two or more goals and Tottenham to score zero or one goals looks a good bet to me and is currently available at 1.85 via William Hill. The immense consistency Klopp’s side have been performing at is good enough to beat any team at this current time and with the home advantage in their favour, the Reds should be too strong for Antonio Conte’s side.

Tottenham’s last three trips to Anfield in the Premier League have seen this selection land against them on each occasion.

Lazio vs Sampdoria Best Bet

The Stadio Olimpico is the scene for my second selection as Lazio welcome Sampdoria in Rome and there’s one thing that stands out instantly when looking at the betting angles for this clash.

Ciro Immobile has once again been remarkable this campaign, the 32-year-old has scored 27 times in just 30 appearances for his side and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down either. Immobile has found the back of the net in all four of his previous Serie A games netting six in total.

It’s no surprise that the goalscorer markets are heavily in favour of the league’s top scorer, he’s best priced at 1.80 to score at any time on Saturday night and as short as 1.44 elsewhere.

The fixture between these sides earlier on in the season ended in a 3-1 victory for the side from the capital and of course, Ciro Immobile had his say, he scored two on that day which both arrived in the first half.

With the hosts still in a battle for a European spot for next season they’ll be wanting to take maximum points against Marco Giampaolo’s side who have struggled in terms of results in this calendar year. In 16 Serie A games in 2022 Sampdoria have lost 11 times including six defeats in eight away from home.

Immobile to score and Lazio to win is best priced at 2.20 which seems a good enough price for me.

Schalke vs St Pauli Best Bet

There’s a massive game in Germany as Bundesliga 2. League leaders Schalke welcome St Pauli to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, the hosts are just two games away from heading back to the top flight after a dismal campaign last season.

Mike Buskens’ team have scored the joint-most goals in the division this season alongside second place Darmstadt. Top scorer Simon Terodde has netted 27 times in 28 appearances for the club and leads the way in the scoring charts, the 34-year-old has scored in each of his last 5 for Schalke with eight in total.

Given how capable the home side are in scoring plenty of goals it’s no surprise they are best priced at 1.44 to score two or more goals on Saturday night. This price is way too short however backing the league leaders to score in both halves of the match is available at 2.10 odds.

Schalke have scored in each half in four of the last five games at home, they are priced at 1.44 to take all three points so the angle I’ve taken seems a little too big to turn down given the price.. St Pauli are no pushovers but have fallen well off the pace in recent weeks which has killed any hopes of claiming promotion.

With Schalke on the charge for promotion, they should be far more pumped up than a disinterested St Pauli side who simply just ran out of gas. With Terodde in sublime goalscoring form he’ll certainly be wanting to add to an impressive tally he’s acquired this season.
