These two teams are firmly in midtable after seven games, and they are separated by just a single point. The last three times that Banfield and San Lorenzo have met, the match has ended in a draw, so all things point to another tightly contested affair here.
Two of the last three head-to-heads have seen no goals scored in the match, but Banfield’s recent matches in front of their home fans have seen a glut of goals. In fact, Banfield have displayed a significant amount of attacking intent this season, and they have only failed to score in one of their last 10 home matches. San Lorenzo have creativity of their own and they found the net in nine of their last 10 matches, the exception being their 0-0 draw with Newell’s.

Atletico Mineiro were one of the pre-season favourites to win the league, and after 16 games they are right in the mix. The title race looks to be seriously competitive this season, with Palmeiras currently leading the way, closely followed by Internacional and Corinthians. There is also an expectation that Flamengo will join the part with a few stellar signings incoming, so Mineiro will know three points is vital here to ensure they stay within touching distance of top spot.
Botafogo have performed well on their return to Brazil’s top flight. They currently sit in midtable, and it seems as though they are in very little danger of being dragged into a relegation battle. They are more than capable of providing a stern test for the visitors here, but I think they will ultimately fall short.
Atletico Mineiro are priced at 1.95 to win with bet365, and Botafogo have recorded just three wins in their last 10 matches in all competitions. The home side have also failed to score in two of their last four matches in front of their home fans, so the visitors should relish the opportunity to bounce back from their 2-0 away defeat to Flamengo.

New York Red Bulls have won their last three matches against their neighbours, and they have looked formidable at home in recent months. They have won their last five home matches and scored 14 goals in the process, while New York City Fc have won just three of their last 10 matches on the road.
bet365 have the home side priced at 2.25 to win. This represents good value given the confidence the team should carry into this one. I also wouldn’t put you off backing cards in this one when the markets become available; their last meeting saw four red cards, and there has been six red cards in New York Red Bulls’ last five games in all competitions.
