After an exciting round of action in midweek, there is more to look forward to ahead of the weekend. Arsenal continue to impress at the top of the table but the big talking point on everyone’s lips is Erling Haaland, who continues to shame several goal-scoring records after only five games.
The big fixture this weekend will see Arsenal take on Manchester United at Old Trafford but there’s more action to look forward to ahead of matchday six.

Goodison Park will be the venue for the first Merseyside derby of the campaign as the latest edition of this rivalry opens a new page. Both sides have endured difficult starts to the new campaign but the obvious surprise has come from the Reds, who have not been their usual dominant selves and have had to scrap out results, including last time out against Newcastle.
For Everton, they managed to escape relegation by a whisker last term and it is looking like they could yet be caught up in another battle, after failing to record a single win after five games, with two losses and three successive draws on the bounce.
Liverpool are no doubt the favourites to win this one but this fixture is well famous for going against the expected order and we can only wait to see what lies in store at Goodison Park.

They may currently be making a mockery of their pre-season tag as one of the favourites to be relegated, but Thomas Frank insists there is still more to come from his Brentford side.
The Whites are another team defying the bookmakers’ label as pre-season relegation favourites after losing just one of their opening five top-flight fixtures for the first time since 2001/02. Manager Jesse Marsch admits he’s “really pleased with the direction” in which his side are heading, leaving us with an open encounter with a good potential for goals.

The Blues have blown hot and cold this term, with Thomas Tuchel taking a swipe at his side’s mentality following their shock defeat to Southampton in midweek. With two defeats from their last three, another slump will begin to cause major worry across Stamford Bridge.
For West Ham, three consecutive losses have now been followed up with a win and a draw against Tottenham last time. The Hammers will fancy their chances of staging yet another upset.

Newcastle must have felt some injustice after losing to Liverpool in the 98th minute despite only five minutes of official added time. On the bright side, new signing Alexander Isak has already shown glimpses of what is to come after a debut goal and that should come as a major positive.
Wilfried Zaha could not hide his frustration after seeing his side concede an 88th-minute goal against Brentford in midweek. Palace have shown they are up for the fight this time around but it will take something to beat a Newcastle side that have been up there among the very best this term.

Two of the newly-promoted sides face off in what would serve as a chance for one to nick something off the other. The hosts will be looking to put a disappointing 6-0 mauling at the hands of City while Bournemouth come into this game after a stalemate with Wolves though the recent 9-0 demolition at the hands of Liverpool remains fresh in mind.
Both sides are the bookies’ favourites to get relegated this season so taking points here could be massive in the grand scheme of things.

Tottenham join London rivals Arsenal and Manchester City as three of the remaining sides yet to taste defeat this term though they required an own-goal to claim a point against West Ham last time out.
Fulham are no pushovers themselves and only league leaders Arsenal have defeated the Cottagers. Only three points separate both teams but Marco Silva’s side will come into this game with much confidence, given that they have already taken points off Liverpool this term.

Southampton ended Wednesday as a top-eight team after an impressive 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday that represented their second winning comeback in three PL matches. Things are seemingly on the up for Southampton, who seem to be getting better with each passing game.
Wolves missed a plethora of chances in midweek, as their search for a Premier League victory stretched to 12 games following a 0-0 draw against a Bournemouth side under interim management.
The arrival of towering forward Saša Kalajdžić from Stuttgart should serve as a beacon of hope for Bruno Lage’s men, and with a newfound aerial presence, there is the potential for Wolves to try and utilize a more direct approach when needed.

Aston Villa are enduring their worst start to a Premier League campaign since 1997 and Steven Gerrard is walking the tightrope of getting sacked if things continue that way. After suffering a narrow defeat to Arsenal last time out, it doesn’t get any better for Villa who now face a rampant Manchester City side.
Erling Haaland has now scored a hat trick in his last two halves of football and there is no stopping this man at the moment. We can only see this game going in one direction.

Brighton only suffered their first defeat of the season last time out against Fulham and they will be eager to return to winning ways against a woeful Leicester City side that find themselves bottom of the league with only one point.
With only three goals conceded, Brighton have let in the least amount of goals this term and will look to consolidate their strong start to the campaign with a win against a side they claimed four points from six last season.

Arsenal will be handed their first major test of the season when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday and all eyes will be eager to see if Mikel Arteta can mastermind yet another win.
The Red Devils struggled at the start of the season but they now look a changed side since their surprise victory over Liverpool. United have also added Casemiro and Anthony and now look formidable on paper.
For now, the Gunners remain the team to beat and sit deservedly at the top of the Premier League table.
