We have the best bets from the Premier League this weekend. The shots market is the focus yet again as the teams jostle for position in the table. There are a number of interesting matches and we finish off with the game of the weekend. Liverpool host Man City in a match that could have massive implications on the season overall.
In this article:
We’ve had two clean sweeps in a row on the shots market. There is some definite value, despite a number of tricky clashes in the Premier League this weekend. I’ve analysed the data to come up with my favourite shots angles using the betting model.
The model factors in a team’s recent form, quality of opposition, averages over longer periods and the meetings between the sides.
The number of shots a team has can be quite unpredictable. Goals change games, especially early on, but this method has proven accurate in the long term.

Leicester have made a poor start to the season and they are currently rooted at the bottom of the table. The pressure is growing on Brendan Rodgers. There are reports that supporters will voice their discontent at Saturday’s game.
Crystal Palace are five points above the hosts after beating Leeds last weekend. They had been on a four-match run without a win prior to that victory. Viera’s men have drawn two of their three away games in the league and they will be looking for three points against lowly Leicester.
Leicester need to respond after being beaten by Bournemouth. The Foxes should display a great deal of attacking intent from the off. They had 17 shots in their last home game against Nottingham Forest. Palace are unlikely to be as poor as Forest, so Leicester won’t have a cushion that allows them to rest on their laurels.
Palace conceded 23 shots in their last away game against Newcastle. The model predicts that Leicester will have 13.96 shots. So over 12.5 shots for the home side looks a good bet here.

Tottenham have won all five of their home games in all competitions this season. They found the net six times against Leicester in their most recent fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Their attack has looked threatening, especially in front of their own fans.
Everton will be licking their wounds after their six-game unbeaten run ended by Man Utd. Lampard’s men responded well in the second half of that game. The Toffees will be looking to carry that level of performance into Saturday.
Everton conceded 22 shots in their last away game at Southampton. The Toffees’ opponents are averaging over 16 shots per game in the league so far this season.
The model predicts that Tottenham will have 19.11 shots here. Conte’s side are averaging over 16 shots per game at home in all competitions.

Liverpool have struggled to hit the heights of last season. They are in danger of being cut adrift from the top of the table. Klopp has all but conceded the title is out of the question, but it’s not all doom and gloom. Man City haven’t beaten Liverpool in four meetings. The Reds were victorious when they met in the Community Shield.
City are one point off league leaders Arsenal. Pep’s attack has been rampant this season. The Citizens are averaging 3.67 goals per game in the league. But they will be weary of Liverpool’s attacking threat after they put seven past Rangers midweek.
There were 29 shots in the Community Shield, but this game shouldn’t be as open. There is pressure on both sides to secure a result. It could play out in a similar manner to recent league meetings.
There have been 18 shots or fewer in the last Premier League meetings between Klopp and Pep. The model predicts that there will be just 19.4 shots in this one. So under 24.5 shots on bet365 is appealing.

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
