This Easter weekend promises to be another cracker in terms of this season’s Premier League story and we are promising Tottenham vs Brighton bet builder tips further down the page.
Tips that will focus on whether Tottenham can return to winning ways after two successive away league draws. It’s a tough ask against a Brighton side looking to continue their charge towards European qualification at the end of the season.
In this article:
England, Premier League, Saturday, April 8th, 15:00 (UK)
The man in charge may have changed but the football largely remains the same. That is the scenario that is currently playing out for Tottenham, as a combination of factors now looks likely to deprive them of a Champions League return.
Factors that not only include positive results for both Newcastle and Manchester United in the past week but another fail for Spurs to win on the road. Four points dropped from winning positions and four points that are desperately needed at this point of the season.
Because after Antonio Conte signed off with a tirade at Southampton, former assistant Cristian Stellini was once again given the managerial reins. Unfortunately for the 48-year-old, he could fare no better than his predecessor.
While those four dropped points have also let Brighton into the European race and with the two sides meeting in North London on Saturday, this may prove to be a Champions League qualification eliminator.
Should either side taste defeat, their faint hopes of a top-four finish will have surely diminished for good. On the flip side, a win for either party would strengthen their cause and Brighton certainly strengthened theirs on Tuesday.
A comfortable win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium means it is now five league outings unbeaten for Roberto De Zerbi’s men and with a game in hand over Newcastle and Manchester United and two over Tottenham, they are not of the European equation yet.
When looking at the pre-match odds, there is very little difference between Tottenham and Brighton. The hosts are priced at 2.55 and the visitors are priced at 2.70 and with it being this close, it may make sense to look at the third option.
Both teams are still doing their best to finish in the top four at the end of the season but unfortunately, they may end up cancelling each other out and this is why I have plumped for a stalemate in N17.
A third successive draw for Spurs that does them no favours at all and when it comes to who will get themselves on the scoresheet, it is fair to say that Harry Kane has done his employers plenty of favours over the years.
Whether Kane is still at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season we will have to wait and see but if he is to sign off in May, the farewell tour is likely to be given another date on Saturday as the 29-year-old finds the net.
With the draw being selected, the big question is just how entertaining this stalemate will be. By opting for under five total goals, that covers the bore draw, the cagey affair at 1-1 and the end-to-end game that finishes 2-2.
Not only that but I think there will be some form of parity when it comes to discipline. The final selection is that both teams will receive at least one card from the referee and all four picks combined are currently priced at 13.00.
