Valencia’s record against Atletico Madrid doesn’t make for good reading for their supporters, and they could be in for another miserable night on Monday.

Atletico finished in the top four last season after a very slow first half of the season, and they will be keen to ensure they don’t repeat that mistake again. Consecutive defeats would likely provoke an inquest, even at this early stage of the season.
