After Juventus’ surprising defeat on Monday our Italian football expert, Daniele Fisichella, has delved into Verona vs Juventus prediction, team news, standing and lineups preview.
The last three weeks have been disastrous for Massimiliano Allegri’s men in Serie A, but many believe these poor results have been coming. Verona, on the other hand, keep fighting to avoid the drop and have only lost four of the last 12 games.
Our Verona vs Juventus prediction is for a 1-1 draw.

One draw and two defeats in the last three games have all but ended Juventus’ hopes to fight for the title till the end.
The Bianconeri are now seven points behind Inter (with the Neroazurri still having a game in hand) after a run of bad performances where they only scored once.
Perhaps against Udinese, Allegri’s team was still hurting after their defeat at San Siro a week earlier, as they looked like they were lacking energy and ideas.
The absences of Dusan Vlahovic and Danilo can only offer a partial excuse; after going behind on Monday, Juve only produced a couple of half chances and ended the second half with no shots on target.
The Turin side had won many games this season thanks to late goals and fine margins and perhaps has eventually paid the price for their lack of creativity, pressing and attacking style of play.
Having the second-best defensive record in the league (only 15 conceded) did not prevent them from coming unstuck against organized sides like Empoli and Udinese, and Verona might present a very similar challenge.
Juventus now need to look behind their shoulders as AC Milan is only one point behind.
Juve’s season still remains positive (only three defeats and three more points in the table compared to last year), but from now on, the Bianconeri need to keep the motivation high to avoid being sucked into the fight to qualify for next year’s Champions League.
Despite all the adversities and the massive players’ turnover that saw Verona’s biggest stars being sold in January, Marco Baroni’s side is showing an untamable spirit and keeps performing well.
After their last-minute defeat at Napoli, the Scaligeri held Monza to a 0-0 draw and limited the hosts to very few shots. Verona have collected five points in the last six games, and all their three defeats (against Inter Milan, Roma and Napoli) have been slightly unlucky.
This season Verona have lost eight of their 11 games played against top oppositions in Italy, but they never got trashed. In the reverse fixture in Turin, Juventus needed a 96th-minute goal from Andrea Cambiaso to get the three points.
The Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium will be sold out for a match that could steer the hosts outside of the bottom three.
Verona’s form at home this season has been decent. They’ve found the net in eight of their last nine games, won three games and only conceded 14 times (less than Napoli and Genoa).
Based only on their results in front of their crowd, Verona would be saved, but since 2022/2023, they’ve only won one match (2-1 vs Roma earlier in August) against Italy’s top-seven.
The visitors have recently found it hard to open the scoring away from home: Juve have not scored in the opening 45 minutes against Inter, Lecce and Salernitana and needed two late goals to beat Monza and Frosinone.
Verona vs Juventus Predictions odds via bet365 as at 10:45, February 13th, 2024. Odds may now differ.
Marco Baroni can count on his full squad for this important match. Polish international Swiderski should lead the attack, although Federico Bonazzoli and Noslin are also in contention. Suslov returns from suspension and will play in midfield. Magnani is the favourite over Coppola to start at centre-back, and Cabal should be confirmed as left-back ahead of Vinagre.
Juve’s top goalscorer, Dusan Vlahovic, is still dealing with a thigh muscular injury and might only be fit to make the bench. Danilo returns from suspension and will form the back three with Rugani and Gatti; Bremer is suspended. Arek Milik and Federico Chiesa should again start up front, but 18-year-old Yildiz might replace the Italian international.
Verona possible starting lineup:
Montipò; Tchatchoua, Coppola, Dawidowicz, Cabal; Folorunsho, Duda; Suslov, Serdar, Lazovic; Swiderski
Juventus possible starting lineup:
Szczesny; Gatti, Rugani, Danilo; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Milik, Chiesa
