Premier League fans were treated to an eight-goal thriller as Brendan Rodgers’ weary Leicester travelled to the capital this weekend. Travelling away from London to a team who spent Friday evening on the banks of the River Trent, Fulham had enough to dampen any noise in the City Ground – just two of the standout fixtures from another spell-binding weekend of Premier League football.

In the latest look back at the Premier League weekend from William Hill, we’ll delve into the betting trends before the international break arrives and has its say on the footballing schedule.

Biggest Winning Bets and Most Popular Picks This Weekend

The weekend’s midday Saturday fixture was not only an unforgettable outing for the reigning Premier League Champions. One punter managed to tackle the fixture head-on and emerge smelling of roses to the tune of £4.6k. Their £20 Build Your Odds bet proved to be called fantastically with Man City winning 3-0 and Rodri and Collins both booked.

Away from the dizzying heights of England’s top tier, plenty of William Hill players enjoyed success. A predominantly EFL-inspired £20 10-leg acca was transformed into £12.5k for one lucky beneficiary. In a punt equally as impressive from the Swiss & Norwegian leagues, another William Hill player managed to predict the outcome of a 16-leg Acca and turn their £10 stake into £10k.

It didn’t stop there, as one savvy punter managed to win £9.5k from an eight-fold MLS-tinted acca after calling the likes of Orlando City & LA Galaxy to win in 90 minutes. Not long after the weekend, with the dust still settling on the Premier League, another William Hill player harnessed their own Build Your Odds fancy. This time, £3.3k was banked from a £10 punt that included four bookings across two Champions League fixtures.

Market Movements

Man City remain at 3/10 with a few of their title rivals not playing this weekend, whilst Arsenal shortened from 12/1 to 10/1 after their efficient 0-3 win over Brentford on Sunday.

The landscape for the top-four betting stays near enough the same considering the postponements to the fixture schedule. However, nearer the bottom of the league, the relegation odds have somewhat shifted elsewhere.

The Cherries are now out to 1/2 following their draw at St James’ Park on Saturday. Forest, meanwhile, have shortened from 5/6 into 8/13 after their Friday night defeat underneath the glaring lights of the City Ground, making it four losses on the bounce for Steve Cooper’s men. Unsurprisingly, after their 6-2 dismantling at the hands of Spurs, a match that started brightly, Leicester have shortened once again. James Maddison and company can now be backed at 7/4 for the drop after seven winless games – they were 16/1 to be relegated at the start of the season.

William Hill’s Weekend Offers and How They Played Out

Following a rather generous decision by William Hill to boost a goal to be scored in Wolves vs Manchester City to evens, Jack Grealish delivered the goods in style. At their rampant best, Manchester City managed to work an opening for the former Villa man, who found the net after just one minute. So, it turned out to be one of William Hill’s most considerable boosts from 1/40 into evens, and the quickest ever win, too.

In an attempt to match the boost available at The Molyneaux, the next EPIC ODDS off will turn its attention to England vs Italy. More specifically, to England getting on the scoresheet against the Italians at Wembley.
