Stranraer vs Dumbarton Preview

Heading to Scotland with my first selection which sees us head all the way down to League Two as a high-flying Dumbarton side head to 8th place Stranraer where I’m backing the visitors to have an enjoyable away trip.

The visitors have won all six games so far this season, they’ve scored 14 league goals and have scored multiple times in five of those matches.

Stranraer on the other hand have struggled in terms of keeping the goals out, they won on the opening day of the season but since then have conceded two or more in every fixture failing to win any match.

This for me is one of the standout prices of the weekend at 2.00 odds, Dumbarton have been immense and will come here in full confidence as they look to continue a perfect start to the season.

Five games on the bounce this bet has landed against the home side, with the best side in the division arriving here, I’ll be very surprised if they don’t score twice or more on Saturday afternoon.

Cadiz vs Barcelona Preview

Spain, La Liga, Saturday, September 10th, 17:30 (UK)

The Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla is the destination up next with Cadiz the hosts in this one and Barcelona will be the last team they’ll be wanting to face after their horrendous start to the league season.

Cadiz have lost all four matches so far and have yet to score a goal conceding 10 in the process. Xavi’s men are the top scorers alongside Real Madrid and are in great scoring form, in their last four competitive matches the club have scored 16 times with three or more coming in every game.

The home side have conceded seven times in their previous two matches seeing this selection land against them on both occasions, the season could get a lot worse for the club after a visit from Barcelona.

Cadiz vs Barcelona Best Bet

The attacking talent Barcelona have should have way too much for this struggling Cadiz side, Lewandowski has been firing as he always does and will fancy himself to score a handful on Saturday afternoon.

Scoring three goals alone is a tricky task but the difference in quality between these two sides is tremendous and the away side should dominate the majority of this clash.

Angers vs Montpellier Preview

France, Ligue 1, Sunday, September 11th, 14:00 (UK)

These two sides have been fantastic in terms of match goals in France this season, Montpellier have seen a massive 28 goals in just six games whilst Angers have seen 23 in their six matches.

Over 2.5 match goals has banked in a combined 10 games from 12 this campaign in games these teams have been a part in. Angers have yet to win so will be wanting to kick start their season on Saturday afternoon in front of the home support.

Montpellier have scored 16 times already so far including seven in one game when they last played away from home and should definitely be finding the back of the net at least once at the Stade Raymond-Kopa.

BTTS and over 2.5 match goals is priced up at even money, a nice difference compared to the straight-up over 2.5 alone available at 1.75. I couldn’t call a winner in this clash but both sides should be looking to take the game to one another in what could possibly be the standout game of the weekend in France.

Toulouse vs Reims Preview

France, Ligue 1, Saturday, September 11th, 14:00, (UK)

Staying put in France once again as 14th place Reims visit 15th spot Toulouse at the Stadium Municipal on Sunday afternoon where I’m expecting both sides to have some joy in front of goal.

It’s been goals galore for Reims this season and both sides have had joy in all six matches they’ve participated in. 23 goals have been scored in total with BTTS yet to lose this campaign and at 1.73 I’m willing to get behind this selection once again.

Toulouse have scored in four games from six and have kept just a single clean sheet, both sides scored in two of their three home matches with the exception coming against PSG which isn’t anything to be ashamed about.

The price at 1.73 isn’t the biggest but it’s certainly worth a play on Sunday afternoon, with the selection yet to taste defeat in a game involving Reims the stats couldn’t be anymore in our favour.

Englishman Folarin Balogun has enjoyed the early part of the season, he’s scored in five of his six appearances and will be wanting to continue his excellent record again this weekend.

Kristiansund vs Valerenga Preview

Norway, Elitserien, Sunday, September 11th, 17:00 (UK)

My final selection for the weekend sees us head to Norway as bottom side Kristiansund welcome an inform Valerenga at the Kristiansund Stadion.

The away side have won eight of their last nine matches in the league, they’ve scored 24 times and should be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches in the top flight. Kristiansund were rock bottom only a matter of weeks ago but have recorded back-to-back wins and have scored in seven consecutive matches.

Goals are expected here and I can see this being an entertaining end-to-end match. Valerenga are favourites but the hosts will have some confidence as they look to escape the drop.

Valerenga won the reverse fixture 3-0 in July but as much as I think goals we be scored the game should be a lot closer, each side should find the back of the net but with Valrenga’s incredible form they could quite easily score a handful alone.
