Union Berlin vs RB Leipzig Preview

Heading to Germany with my opening selection as once again I am backing goals in a league match involving Leipzig. Both games so far in the Bundesliga have seen all four teams score with the most recent seeing a 2-2 draw against Koln.

The return of Timo Werner will be a huge boost in terms of goals for the club, he scored on his debut last weekend in the opening 45 minutes. Union Berlin won 3-1 on the opening day but drew 0-0 in their recent match.

Both games last season ended 2-1 with Union Berlin winning both matches, they also played in the DFB Pokal and again that ended with a 2-1 scoreline.

Leipzig’s games have been consistent for goals as of late. All three clashes between the sides last season saw both teams find the back of the net. The same thing in Berlin on Saturday evening looks a nicely priced selection.

Leicester vs Southampton Preview

These two sides just scream goals, they both are very poor defensively but are more than capable of getting themselves on the scoresheet week in and week out. Leicester have seen 10 goals in their opening two matches while Southampton have seen one fewer with nine.

Nine goals were scored In their two meetings in the Premier League last season. Five of them came in this exact fixture. Both clubs have conceded two or more in either game so far. With attacking being much better than their defending, it could possibly be a shootout on Saturday afternoon.

Match goals just seems the right way to go for this one. Leicester are the better side but defensively they are vulnerable. Southampton have leaked six goals so far but have scored three times.

Three or more goals should be scored at the King Power just as we saw last season as the hosts ran out as 4-1 winners, which means we’ll walk away with some sort of profits.

Leeds vs Chelsea Preview

Leeds have started the season fairly strongly, they beat Wolves after coming from behind and then drew at St. Mary’s despite leading 2-0. In those two matches, they’ve accumulated 25 shots and should fancy themselves to score at home against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea have also won and drawn in their first two matches with four goals coming against London rivals, Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. They are strong favourites to win this match but I don’t think it’ll be as easy as it was the last time they arrived here which ended 0-3.

Last season saw eight goals scored between these sides last season, Chelsea scored six of those. Leeds have made some smart signings and look a much better outfit, Brenden Aaronson has started the season well and Rodrigo has bagged three times already.

With three goals being needed for any sort of winner, both sides should be expected to contribute to that tally in what should be an entertaining watch at Elland Road.

Napoli vs Monza Preview

Napoli started the Serie A season in stunning fashion, they bagged five times in a 5-2 win at Verona on the opening day with five separate players scoring. Newbies Monza lost 2-1 at home against Torino in what was a closely fought match according to the statistics.

The confidence of the Napoli players should be through the roof after the opening day goal fest, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored on his debut and looked lively throughout. Victor Osimhen also started the season with a goal and will look to build on the 14 goals he scored last campaign.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if both sides contributed scoring despite how impressive Napoli were going forward the defence wasn’t too convincing against Verona.

Despite getting promoted Monza had the 12th worst away record in Serie B last season. Napoli could quite easily score a handful here. If Monza could chip in with one then we should have a great chance of landing a winner in Naples.

Bochum vs Bayern Preview

The German giants head to Bochum on Sunday after winning both games so far in the Bundesliga season. They’ve started fast and have won the games inside the first 45 minutes because of that.

The current champions scored five times on the opening night inside the first 45 minutes against Frankfurt and then followed that up by scoring twice in that same time period against Wolfsburg.

Despite losing Robert Lewandowski, they haven’t struggled for goals. Six different players have scored for the club already this campaign.

Bochum have seen two and four goals inside the first half in both games this season. With Bayern in town, we could see an early goal fest.

Looking at last season’s results, the first 45 minutes saw plenty of action. Nine goals were scored in the first half across the two matches with five coming in this exact fixture last season.
