Wolves vs West Ham Prediction: Team News and Lineups Preview

It’s a Wolves vs West Ham prediction, team news, lineups, and fixtures preview next on the agenda for Tom Winch here at bettingexpert as we tackle the Saturday afternoon Premier League game at Molineux Stadium.
The visitors threw away a two-goal lead last weekend at Newcastle. David Moyes has a healthy squad, which is vital at the current stage. Wolves were beaten by Villa that same day. They’re without important offensive players, which may come back to bite them.
- Wolves vs West Ham Tip 1: Over 2.75 Goals
- Wolves vs West Ham Tip 2: Jarrod Bowen AGS
- Wolves vs West Ham Tip 3: Wolves Over 0.5 Second Half Goals & Lemina Over 0.5 Shots
Wolves vs West Ham Prediction 1: Entertaining Encounter
England, Premier League, Saturday, April 6th, 15:00 (UK)
Wolves and West Ham are some of the Premier League’s finest entertainers. You may find that hard to believe, but the stats suggest so. The reverse fixture ended 3-0 in favour of the London club; I struggle to see them blowing Gary O’Neil’s men that easily here.
There have been 14 Premier League games played here in 23/24. An impressive 43 goals have arrived. Wolves have found the back of the net 22 times, with 21 going in at the opposite end. Only Thomas Frank’s Brentford have departed with a clean sheet. Burnley, Everton and Sheffield United are the only sides that have failed to score.
West Ham’s away days are fun. A whopping 56 goals have arrived in 15 matches. WHU have scored 24 whilst shipping 32. Forest, United and Fulham are the only teams to prevent the Hammers from scoring. Surprisingly, Arsenal is the only side that failed to score when hosting West Ham.
I’m happy to support the goals in this encounter. We need at least three strikes to receive a profit. There have been at least three goals in 64% of matches at this venue. An appealing 80% of West Ham’s away days have featured at least three goals.
- Wolves vs West Ham Prediction 1: Over 2.75 Goals (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.90
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 4/10
Wolves vs West Ham Prediction 2: Vital Times Ahead
Jarrod Bowen is having another fine season. Erling Haaland, Ollie Watkins, Mo Salah and Dominic Solanke are the only players to have found the back of the net more than the West Ham man. The 27-year-old has bagged 15 goals across 2606 minutes, averaging 0.52 goals per 90.
I like the offer price. Bowen bagged in the reverse fixture in December. West Ham should arrive here in confidence given that Wolves have several absentees. Yes, that defeat against Newcastle could still be in the back of their mind, but they have every chance of putting things right in this one.
Bowen has scored eight more goals than any other West Ham player this term. It’s difficult not to back him in a game where goals are likely.
Wolves have managed a single shutout in their previous eight matches in the Premier League. That came against Sheffield United, the lowest scorers in the division.
With a place in the England squad at the Euro’s up for grabs, Bowen will know that his performances from now until the end of the season need to be impressive.
- Wolves vs West Ham Prediction 2: Jarrod Bowen AGS (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 3.25
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 3/10
Wolves vs West Ham Prediction 3: Vulnerable Visitors
Wolves have been scoring plenty of goals after the break at home this season. Gary O’Neil’s men have scored 15 of their 22 goals in the second half at this venue. I expect them to improve on that tally when West Ham come to town.
Whatever happens in the West Ham dressing room at halftime, it’s not helping. David Moyes’ side shipped 21 goals after the interval. The Hammers have seen this part of the selection land in 13 of their 15 away days.
Mario Lemina has played much further up the pitch in recent weeks. Wolves are suffering with vital injuries in attack. The Gabonese international recorded three shots against Villa at the weekend. Mario managed three strikes in their FA Cup clash with Coventry.
Mario has recorded a shot in 21 matches from 26 this season. That’s an average of 1.54 per 90. The midfielder managed two shots when these sides met earlier in the campaign.
West Ham are vulnerable. We saw their vulnerability in their defeat on Saturday, where they conceded three late goals. All five away days in 2024 have seen them concede after the break.
- Wolves vs West Ham Prediction 3: Wolves Over 0.5 Second Half Goals & Lemina Over 0.5 Shots (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: Awaiting Odds
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 3/10

Wolves vs West Ham Team News and Possible Lineups: Visitors In Much Better Shape
Wolves have several key players unavailable. Pedro Neto, Hwang Hee-Chan, and Matheus Cunha are all suffering from injuries. Craig Dawson is out with a groin injury, whilst Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has an ankle injury.
It’s a weakened Wolves side, especially in attacking areas. They’ll be hoping their talented front three can return sooner rather than later.
West Ham are in a good position. They have a single injury doubt. Alphonse Areola was substituted at halftime in their defeat to Newcastle.
Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen are arguably West Ham’s best players. They combined for two goals and three assists at St James’ Park.
Wolves possible starting lineup: Sa; Bueno, Kilman, Gomes, Semedo, Gomes, Doyle, Nouri, Sarabia, Lemina; Chiwome
West Ham possible starting lineup: Fabianski; Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson, Soucek, JWP, Bowen, Paqueta, Kudus; Antonio
