The final group games get underway on Tuesday, there’s a huge amount to play for in Qatar. Here at bettingexpert News, we have selected our three favourite bets across Groups A and B.
In this article:
World Cup Group A, Tuesday, November 29th, 15:00 (UK)
Ecuador need just a point in order to qualify for the knockout stages. They’ve accumulated four so far and have looked like the best side in the group by some distance.
Senegal will have the tricky task of needing to beat the South American outfit. They’ll need to up their game when they arrive at the Khalifa International Stadium after creating just 0.89 and 0.75 expected goals (xG) against the Netherlands and Qatar in their first two.
Gustavo Alfaro’s side have seen exactly two goals in each game so far. Defensively they have been rather strong, conceding just a single shot on target and that was Cody Gakpo’s opener in the 1-1 draw with the Dutch.
I’m expecting another low-scoring affair here, the pressure is on the African side to muster up a win but I’ll be siding with Ecuador with a bet that has cashed in both games in the competition.
At an odds against price this seems like a strong bet, Ecuador have proven to be a solid outfit so far and will frustrate Senegal for large parts of the 90.
With them needing just a point for qualification, they’ll keep things tight and grind out a result in what should be a low scoring clash.
World Cup Group A, Tuesday, November 29th, 15:00 (UK)
It has been a disappointing tournament for the host nation, Qatar. They have failed to impress and have already faced an early exit from the tournament. That will be a positive for a Dutch side that will want to finish the group stages in style.
23 year-old Cody Gakpo has scored in both games so far for his nation and is a juicy price to find the back of the net once more here. The PSV forward will be expected to start across the front line for Louis Van Gaal on Tuesday afternoon and will fancy to continue his goalscoring streak.
Qatar have conceded five times so far. Ecuador’s Enner Valencia, who started at centre forward in the opener netted twice. Both starting strikers scored for Senegal when they matched up with Qatar last week. If Gakpo gets given the nod in a central position, he’ll be confident about scoring his third of the campaign.
Five players are priced shorter to score for the Dutch on Tuesday afternoon in comparison to Cody Gakpo which instantly seems a little strange, the youngster is in fine form and his side are odds on to score three times.
The value play definitely seems to be with Cody Gakpo here in Al Khor.

World Cup Group B, Tuesday, November 29th, 19:00 (UK)
It’s all to play for in Group B on Tuesday evening. Iran would sneak through with a draw here should Wales fail to beat England. However, the USA will need all three points in order to book themselves a place in the knockout stages.
Iran were dismal against England on matchday one but were worthy winners against Wales just a few days later. Two strikes in added time earned them a 2-0 win. Gregg Berhalter’s side have drawn on both occasions so far but will need maximum points here, although they’ve won just two of their previous 14 World Cup matches.
The Iran price stood out to me. They’re priced as underdogs and with them likely needing just a point, the price at slightly under even money appeals on the Asian handicap.
Iran will arrive here with plenty of confidence after snatching all three points late on in Al Rayyan. They’ve never reached the knockout stages in their history but have a huge chance to do so.
USA have struggled to create in attacking areas so far with just a single shot on target in either match which will be an issue if that doesn’t change here. They’ll have to play more expansive football if they’re desperate for a goal which could cause them issues defensively, especially if Mehdi Taremi and co are lurking about.

A football acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually. consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A football acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create football accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the football acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
