We’ve got an 8.00 bet builder for Brentford vs Brighton for what represents an intriguing match this Friday night. The focus will be on whether the hosts can end their run of three matches without a win.
While attention must also be given to Brighton’s new boss Roberto De Zerbi. After being handed a baptism of fire against Liverpool and Tottenham, the Italian will look to earn a first win for his new employers.

If you were to make an assessment of Brentford’s season so far, you would have to label it indifferent. Although 16 goals being scored at one end is impressive, conceding 17 at the other end is certainly not.
With an average of 1.88 being shipped per Premier League outing, it is a statistic that is rather worrying for manager Thomas Frank. Were it not for such an impressive goal haul, then the Bees would be flying towards the bottom of the table.
Although the goals have kept Brentford buzzing clear of the relegation zone for now, if that precious commodity dries up and the defence cannot be patched up, it could mean the symptoms of second season syndrome are not far away either.
While the West London outfit will look to return to winning ways on Friday. They welcome Brighton and with their being evolution rather than revolution on the South Coast, new manager Roberto De Zerbi has settled in rather well.
Admittedly the former Sassuolo and Shakhtar boss has only picked up a point from the first six on offer. However, with Liverpool and Tottenham serving as the opposition, the circumstance has certainly been mitigated.
This means a trip to the capital may just offer De Zerbi the perfect opportunity to earn maximum points. After the news that Enock Mwepu has had to retire, victory at the Brentford Community Stadium would serve as the perfect tribute.
With Brentford having not won in three and Brighton having failed to win their last two – albeit with far tougher opposition to face, this could be a game that goes either way. Especially when you factor in the Bees’ home advantage.
Then again, I do envisage that the Seagulls will be able to swoop in and nullify this advantage to a certain degree and therefore, I am going to play things a little safer. This means Brighton in the double chance market is my first entry.
From here, we pivot to the anytime goal market and although either Ivan Toney or Danny Welbeck could be sensible shouts for this part of the bet builder, I am going to place my attention elsewhere.
Attention goes in the direction of Leandro Trossard and with the Belgian being the hat-trick hero at Anfield recently, I am marking the 27-year-old down for at least a goal on Friday.
Also, there have been over 2.5 goals in five of Brentford’s last six home Premier League outings and therefore, adding over two total goals to the coupon seems a rather logical move to make.
While some disciplinary action is also on the cards and with both teams averaging more than a caution per game this season, referee Michael Salisbury should be good for at least one yellow on show. This means when you add all this together, odds of 8.00 are now on offer.
