Brighton vs Everton: Points Are Crucial For Everton

England, Premier League, Saturday, 24th February, 15:00 (UK)

Brighton hammered Sheffield United in their last match but they are still on the backfoot in the rave for Europe. Roberto De Zerbi’s side haven’t won back-to-back Premier League matches since September when they recorded three consecutive 3-1 victories. The Seagulls managed to earn a point when they went head-to-head with Everton earlier in the campaign.

Everton will have been disappointed with the draw at home to Crystal Palace but the point does mean they come into the weekend just outside of the relegation zone. They are above Luton on goal difference but are still searching for their first win in eight league matches.

The Seagulls’ league matches at the Amex Arena this season have seen an average of 27.67 shots per game. They haven’t reached the attacking heights of De Zerbi’s early reign but this match still looks set to see plenty of action. There were 33 shots the last time these sides went toe-to-toe at this ground.

Sean Dyche’s side are in desperate need of points as they aim to escape the drop once again. They will commit men forward when possible here and it should result in plenty of attempts. Their league away matches this season have seen an average of 27.48 shots.

  • Selection: Over 26.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Manchester United vs Fulham: Ten Hag’s High-Risk Setup

England, Premier League, Saturday, 24th February, 15:00 (UK)

Manchester United are unbeaten in 2024. The team appear to be trending upwards with the race for a Champions League place heating up. Erik Ten Hag needs to get results with his position under scrutiny following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover. The Red Devils edged past Luton in their last game and this one promises to be another hard-fought contest.

Fulham lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in their last match. They have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions and have failed to win on any of their last nine visits to Old Trafford. Marco Silva’s side have breathing space from the drop zone so they have very little to lose.

Ten Hag’s attack has looked rampant of late. Rasmus Hojlund has benefited from direct attacking play but United’s defence is shaky as ever. Their recent matches have seen plenty of shots as a result. Manchester United’s five league matches in 2024 have seen an average of 35.8 shots.

Marco Silva’s side have also played five league matches in this calendar year and those have averaged 32.6 attempts. There were 30 shots in the match when the sides met earlier in the season.

  • Selection: Over 28.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Bournemouth vs Manchester City: Andoni’s Men Won’t Stand Off

England, Premier League, Saturday, 24th February, 17:30 (UK)

Bournemouth earned a point at St. James’s Park in their last Premier League match. They will have been happy with the performance but they are now without a win in their last six league matches. Andoni Iraola’s side are 13th in the table with eight points separating them from the relegation zone.

Manchester City got back to winning ways against Brentford but they still have ground to make up on the league leaders. Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten in their last 16 matches across all competitions, dropping just four points in the league over that period.

The Cherries’ matches have seen the most tackles in the Premier League with an average of 40.96. This rises to 42.45 in their home matches. This selection has won in all five of Andoni Iraola’s side’s league matches in 2024. Those have seen an average of 45.6 tackles.

Pep’s side are accustomed to controlling possession and playing through the opposition press. However, there were 41 tackles when they last visited the Vitality Stadium.

  • Selection: Over 32.5 Tackles In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Arsenal vs Newcastle: Fatigue An Issue For Arsenal?

England, Premier League, Saturday, 24th February, 20:00 (UK)

Arsenal’s winning run ended abruptly against Porto in the Champions League midweek. Arteta’s men were beaten thanks to a 94th-minute goal and they face another stern test on Saturday. The Gunners are firmly in the hunt for the title but they will need to be almost perfect to finish ahead of both Manchester City and Liverpool.

Newcastle beat Arsenal 1-0 at St. James’s Park earlier this season but they have managed just three Premier League wins on the road. Eddie Howe’s side are 12 points off the top four so they face an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League again.

Mike Arteta’s side were toothless in their loss to Porto. They should show a lot more attacking impetus here but they shouldn’t dominate for 90 minutes against Newcastle. We are backing under 26.5 shots in the match with both teams jostling for superiority. Arsenal’s league matches at the Emirates have seen an average of 25.58 shots.

There have been 26 shots or fewer in the last three matches between these sides with the most recent head-to-head seeing just 23 shots.

  • Selection: Under 26.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Wolves vs Sheffield United: The Blades Set to Attack Wolves

England, Premier League, Sunday, 25th February, 14:00 (UK)

Wolves can enter the top half of the table this weekend. They have beaten Tottenham and Chelsea in their last two away matches but have suffered defeats in their last two games at Molineux. Gary O’Neil’s side lost in the reverse fixture at Bramall Lane and will be hungry for revenge here.

Sheffield United lost their last match 5-0 after Mason Holgate was sent off for a horror tackle on Kaoru Mitoma. Chris Wilder has been unable to change the side’s fortunes since coming in so the Blades are staring down the barrel of relegation.

Gary O’Neil’s side’s home league matches in the league have seen 38.17 throws on average but this one looks set to exceed that mark. Their last five matches against Sheffield United have seen an average of 47.4 throws and this bet won when the sides met earlier in the campaign.

Chris Wilder’s side need to go for it in pursuit of three points and they should impose themselves on Wolves when possible. A direct approach lends itself nicely to throws. The Blades’ have played five league matches against sides currently in the bottom half of the table since Wilder returned to the club. There have been at least 46 throws in all of those with an average of 52.8.

  • Selection: Over 42.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 9/10

West Ham vs Brentford: Head-to-Heads Indicate Goal Kicks Aplenty

England, Premier League, Monday, 26th February, 20:00 (UK)

David Moyes’ has faced criticism from the Hammers’ faithful since the turn of the year. There have been questions about the team’s style of play and recent results leave a lot to be desired. West Ham are without a win in their last eight matches and need to bounce back here.

Brentford have won five of their last six matches against West Ham. Thomas Frank’s side haven’t reached the heights of last season but are still well clear of the relegation zone. Their focus for the remainder of the season will be breaking into the top 10.

West Ham need to deliver here so expect them to show some real menace going forward. They were humbled by Arsenal in their last home match and need to get the supporters back onside. A direct approach should increase the number of goal kicks. Since Brentford were promoted, they have faced the Hammers six times. Those matches have seen an average of 19 goal kicks.

The Bees’ last two away matches have seen 17 and 20 goal kicks so the 15.5 line looks a little low here.

  • Selection: Over 15.5 Goal Kicks In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
