Liverpool host Brighton before the main event of Manchester City vs Arsenal.
Bet365 Acca odds: 32.64
England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th March, 12:30 (UK)
The first match of the weekend sees Newcastle host West Ham as they look to get their season back on track. They lost at Stamford Bridge in their last match. Eddie Howe’s side find themselves on the back foot in the race for a place in Europe but a win over West Ham would boost their chances.
West Ham drew 1-1 with Aston Villa just before the international break. They are currently 7th in the Premier League, four points ahead of Saturday’s opponents having played a game more. The Hammers drew 1-1 the last time they visited St. James’s Park. It was also honours even in the reverse fixture this season.
Newcastle are averaging 20.5 throws in their four home league matches since the start of the year. Our bet won in three of those games, the exception was against Manchester City, whose matches see the fewest throws in the top flight.
The Hammers’ away matches in 2024 have seen them face an average of 21 throws. The Magpies had 19 throws in the last meeting between the sides. They also had 19 the last time they went toe-to-toe at this ground.
England, Premier League, Saturday, 1st January, 15:00 (UK)
A points deduction has plunged Nottingham Forest into the bottom three. They drew 1-1 with Luton in their last match which meant their winless run was extended to five matches across all competitions. Nuno Espirito Santo has picked up three wins in 12 league matches since taking the role.
Crystal Palace also made a managerial change this season. Oliver Glasner’s men have earned four points from three matches since he took the reins. They are eight points ahead of Forest coming into this weekend’s head-to-head. The Eagles could only manage a 0-0 draw when they welcomed Nottingham Forest to Selhurst Park earlier in the season.
Forest have had plenty of tough home fixtures since Nuno came in. They have played Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham, Newcastle and Bournemouth at the City Ground. Their shot numbers have suffered as a result but they did manage 16 when they last faced Palace.
The Eagles are conceding an average of 13.86 shots per away game. They allowed Tottenham to have 14 shots in their only away match under Glasner so far.
England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th March, 17:30 (UK)
Aston Villa are clinging to 4th spot heading into the weekend. They are three points above Tottenham but Ange Postecglou’s side have a game-in-hand. The Villains cannot afford to slip up as when they face Wolves.
Gary O’Neil has done a fine job at Wolves. Many supporters feared the worst after a turbulent summer but they are sitting pretty in the top half of the Premier League. Wolves suffered a shock cup defeat against Coventry in their last match. They will be looking to bounce back as they return to league action.
Unai Emery’s side’s opponents are averaging just 12.8 throws per game this season. However, Wolves have had at least 14 throws in their last ten matches against Aston Villa. Tottenham had exactly 14 throws in Villa’s last home game in the league.
Wolves are averaging 18 throws per game in this campaign. This drops to 17 in their away matches. They have had 18 or more throws in their last five matches across all competitions. The team has a lot of pace in wide areas and that should help them win throws on the break against a possession-hungry Aston Villa.
England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th March, 20:00 (UK)
Brentford haven’t been involved in a relegation battle since earning promotion to the Premier League but they are in danger of being dragged into one in this campaign. They have picked up just seven points in their last 15 league matches.
Manchester United will be buoyed by their dramatic win over Liverpool in their last game. Amad Diallo’s goal in the final minute of extra time sealed their place in the FA Cup semi-final. Erik Ten Hag’s side are still up against it in the race for a Champions League place. They are six points behind Tottenham and will need to maintain a high level of performance from now until the end of the season if they are to overtake Ange’s side.
The Bees’ home matches in the league have seen 14.86 goal kicks on average but expect an inflated umber here. There were 18 goal kicks in this fixture last season and both sides had 10 goal kicks when the teams met at Old Trafford in October.
United have the quality to hurt Brentford but they have continued to allow their opponents to have plenty of chances. This bet has won in four of Ten Hag’s side’s last five matches with an average of 18.2 goal kicks.
England, Premier League, Sunday, 31st March, 14:00 (UK)
Liverpool were chasing an unprecedented quadruple before they were dumped out of the FA Cup but Jurgen Klopp’s side have bigger fish to fry. They have the chance to go back to the top of the Premier League with their title rivals squaring off later on Sunday. The Reds are unbeaten in their last five league games.
Brighton didn’t lose any of their three matches against Liverpool last season but they have struggled to reach that level this term. Consistency has been an issue for Roberto De Zerbi’s side. They haven’t won consecutive league games since September but they remain in European contention.
Klopp’s side are known for their intensity and their matches are averaging 36.71 tackles. Their league matches at Anfield in 2024 have seen 37.6 tackles on average with this bet winning in the last four. There have been 26 tackles or more in eight of their last 10 Premier League games.
The Seagulls’ most recent away match in the league saw 40 tackles. There were 39 tackles when they played Liverpool earlier this season and 38 the last time they came to Anfield.
England, Premier League, Saturday, 30th March, 16:30 (UK)
Manchester City have the chance to move above Arsenal on Sunday. Pep Guardiola’s side are chasing a fourth consecutive Premier League crown but they look set to be pushed by both Arsenal and Liverpool. The CItizens are unbeaten at the Etihad this season and have won 10 of their 14 league matches in front of their own fans.
Arsenal are looking to win their first league title since the Invincible season. Arteta has his team playing some exceptional stuff. They have the best-performing attack and defence in the division. The Gunners beat City 1-0 (below) earlier in the season but have lost on their last eight visits to the Etihad.
City matches don’t ordinarily see a lot of tackles but this one should be an exception. Games at the Etihad this season are averaging 25.35 tackles. However, Arsenal have the quality to make this a battle. There were 42 tackles when the sides clashed earlier this season, There were 30 when City won 4-1 at the Etihad in the last campaign.
The Gunners’ away matches in the Premier League have seen 15.43 tackles on average. They will want to keep their noses in front at the top so we should see a hard-fought contest.
