Manchester City’s trip to Goodison Park looks like a real banana skin.

West Ham are all but safe following their marginal victory over Manchester United last Sunday, a home game they went off at 3.61 to win.

Those three points have taken them to seven points clear of the drop and should see tension lift around east London as they pursue continental glory.

That said, David Moyes’ side made a nervy start to their Europa Conference League semi-final on Thursday going a goal down to Alkmaar.

Goals courtesy of Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio ensured they head to the Netherlands with their noses in front.

In the meantime, it will have only galvanised the squad ahead of their trip across London this weekend.

Brentford’s stellar start to the campaign has seen some regression and the Bees have gradually slid away from the European race to mid-table obscurity. Anything after survival was a bonus though.

Brentford vs West Ham Best Bet

The context of this game lends itself to goals.

Despite their tight squad, West Ham should rotate ahead of their trip to Europe on Thursday.

Although the odds suggest otherwise, I think there is another twist in this title race to come.

Manchester City may be 1.10 on to lift their third league trophy in as many seasons, a 90.9% chance, but I do not think it is a foregone conclusion.

One thing is certain, Arsenal must win their games and hope City slip up.

A 3-1 win over Chelsea and a 2-0 victory at St James’ Park was the perfect response to the annihilation at the Etihad.

Mikel Arteta will be without Oleksandr Zinchenko and William Saliba here though, and that makeshift backline is a cause for concern.

Brighton were thumped 5-1 at home to relegation-stricken Everton in their last game, a result no one saw coming.

It leaves the Seagulls two points behind Tottenham in the race for the top six but Roberto De Zerbi’s side have two games in hand.
