Juventus went into the international break on a poor run of form, and it feels quite miraculous that Allegri remains at the club. Bologna haven’t beaten Juventus in the last 20 meetings between the sides, but it’s hard to remember the Bianconeri being this poor.

Juve sit in 8th place in the league. There are rumours circulating that members of the board want the manager on the chopping block, but the club’s financial situation is making the his dismissal impossible. It is fair to say that the Old Lady are a club in disarray, and the Allianz Stadium could well be a toxic environment come Sunday night.

Juventus’ opponents are averaging over 13 shots per game in their competitive matches this season. Bologna are averaging over 12 shots per game themselves, so I’m expecting them to have a decent amount of chances here.

I’m backing Musa Barrow to shots here. The Bologna attacker has started the last three matches after coming off the bench in many of the earlier games and has looked dangerous. Barrow had five shots in his last match, and the required number for this bet has landed in all of his appearances this season.

Real Madrid have made the perfect start to their title defence by winning all six of their league matches. Barcelona look set to push Madrid all the way after their summer spending spree, so Ancelotti will know that they cannot afford any slip-ups.

Madrid games in the league are averaging 3.83 goals, and they are yet to keep a clean sheet. They beat Atletico 2-1 in their last league outing but should have scored more given the chances they had.

I think we will see the home side score plenty on Sunday night, and there is every chance they will leak a goal or two given how their defence has started the season. Over 2.5 goals has landed in all six of Real’s league matches, so there is a clear angle here.

Real Madrid to win and over two goals in the match is priced at 1.90 with bet365. This bet has landed in all of Madrid’s domestic matches this season, and it landed when these teams last met. The pace of the Madrid forward line would cause even the sternest defence problems, and it’s difficult to envisage Osasuna keeping them at bay here.

Boca currently sit two points behind the league leaders. They will be bolstered by their rambunctious home support when they take on Velez on Sunday night. The hosts are on a fine run of form. They are unbeaten in 12 and they have won seven of their last eight matches.

Velez have been poor in recent weeks. They have just one win in their last 10 games; a run that means they are now just three points off the bottom of the table. Velez are also without a win in their last 11 away league matches.

Boca have won the last three meetings between these sides at La Bombenera, and the importance of the game in the race for the title should spur on the home support.

Boca are at much higher odds to win this one than I expected. They are priced at 1.95 to win with Betfair. Velez’s bleak away record makes a win seem like an impossible task, but Argentinian football can be unpredictable.
